Alex Tung is a Cerritos High School graduate of 1993.  Initially Alex went to the doctors for what he thought was a typical skin rash on his leg.   During the visit, the doctor asked Alex to see a specialist after seeing odd results in a blood test.  After further testing Alex was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML).  Acute Myeloid Leukemia is a fast growing form of cancer of the blood and bone marrow.  Due to the aggressive type of Leukemia, the doctors started Chemotherapy right away. Alex will get treated with 4 stages of chemotherapy and will need a bone marrow transplant after treatment. 

 

As devastating as his sickness is, Alex has maintained his spirit and has actually called it a blessing in disguise.  His condition has put him in touch with friends that he lost contact with, and has been overwhelmed with all of the love and support that friends, family and co workers have given him.   A truly generous person by nature, Alex is determined to win his battle and give back and repay all of the love tenfold.

 

As a child of the sea, Alex cannot wait to regain his health and be able to be back in the ocean.  Please help us support and aid one of the kindest and deserving souls, Alex Tung.

 

The Auction will be held on October 11, 2014 at Dave & Buster's in Orange, CA.  Proceeds from “The Auction “will go towards Alex’s medical bills and to help find a bone marrow donor.
